Aboriginal & Islander Education Worker (AIEW)

Jingili School has a number of Indigenous students and a Part-time Aboriginal and Islander Education Worker.

Our AEIW works in classrooms offering education and well being support to our students and our families.

Parents are welcome to drop in at any time to talk to our Aboriginal and Islander Education Worker Ms Narelle Rosas

My name is Narelle Rosas and I am the AIEW at Jingili Primary School.
AIEW stands for Aboriginal Islander Education Worker.
My role here is to provide support and assistance to our Indigenous families and students. I attend classes to support students in their learning journey and do home visits and contact parents regarding school matters. I am here to help families in the best way I can to support the learning of our students.
I am honest, open and respectful of our families, our culture and issues that concern our Indigenous families. I can be a support or voice for parents if needed and I work with teachers and the school to try and provide the best educational outcomes for our Indigenous students.
